Here are five reasons why Manchester United will win the English Premier League title next season.

After a tough 2015-16 season that saw Manchester United lose in the Europa League round of 16, finish fifth in the EPL and fail to make another Champions League group stage, the road to a successful 2016-17 will not be easy.

The club has already fired manager Louis van Gaal, whose only trophy since taking the job in 2013 was this season’s FA Cup, and will again compete in the Europa League next season. Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is expected to replace van Gaal, and fans will be hoping he can bring back the glory days. Despite an awful last season with Chelsea, Mourinho remains one of the most highly regarded managers in the game, and United will definitely give him money to spend as he attempts to bring some titles back to Old Trafford next season.

The club does have some pieces in place, however. They have a promising group of young players, they have money and they have senior players who know what it takes to win trophies.

There is plenty of pressure when playing for United. Winning is part of the job, and anything else is seen as a failure. Fans of the historic club are not used to seeing their club struggling. United have very high standards and it’s a club built on history.

This offseason is important for them and they will need to work hard if they want to become the club they were under Sir Alex Ferguson. With a busy offseason ahead, here are five things United can do to ensure they are contending for the EPL title next season.
