The Thunder continued to shock the Warriors, blowing out Golden State to take a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals

Coming into Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals at the Chesapeake Energy Arena against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Golden State Warriors hadn’t lost consecutive games since last season. That’s how dominant they’ve been since over the past year, setting records and everything in-between along the way. However, Stephen Curry and company felt the pressure mounting coming into Game 4 as they trailed 2-1 in the series with another game left on the road.
Things immediately got off to a sour start for the Warriors. Though the defending champions were able to get a couple of early buckets, Curry remained ice cold while Russell Westbrook started getting things going for the Thunder in a big way. At one point in the first quarter, OKC reeled off 16 unanswered points and then finished the period on an 11-2 run to have a commanding early lead.
Russ, Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka, and even Andre Roberson then exploded even further in the second quarter as they pulled further ahead. For any signs of life that the Warriors were able to show, the Thunder were there to squeeze the life out of it and took an even more dominating lead into halftime.
As Steph continued to struggle, Klay Thompson stepped up in the third quarter to try and make a game of it for the Warriors. He was knocking down shots from deep and even attacking the rim to get his buckets. However, Westbrook again rose up to thwart any of the Warriors efforts and stopped any chance of a comeback. After that, it was coasting for the home team as they picked up another hugely impressive win and now only need one win to get to the NBA Finals.
