Paul George had this hilarious reaction when he found out he was only named to the third All-NBA Team.
The All-NBA team is never something fans around the league can agree on. While there were some no-brainers for the first team, such as Steph Curry and LeBron James, a lot of fans were contentious over the fact that DeAndre Jordan was named the first team center over DeMarcus Cousins. Because really, what more does Boogie have to do?
While not many people pay attention to the third team, it became pretty contentious when star players in Paul George, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Klay Thompson were relegated to the third spot. While the last two players had an excellent supporting cast, Indiana’s success this season was pretty much all based on Paul George, and when the news was released, he reacted in extremely memorable fashion:
It was hard not to enjoy watching Paul George this year. He came back from the most devastating of injuries to set career highs in games played, points, assists, and steals. He elevated his game in the playoffs, and almost single-handedly pulled off the upset over the Toronto Raptors, who are now in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Of course, this season had a lot of incredible talent, so spots for the All-NBA Team were always going to be competitive. However, it’s hard to give a player like Paul George third team after what he had to overcome.
