Tennessee Titans – RB Derrick Henry

It’s been an incredible last few months for Henry. As a junior at Alabama, he helped the Crimson Tide win the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship by rushing for 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns.

He took home quite a bit of hardware, too — the Heisman Trophy, Doak Walker Award, Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Award. He wasn’t selected in the first round of the NFL draft, but he landed in an ideal situation in the second round with the Titans.

The Titans’ running game was largely a disaster in the 2015 season. Antonio Andrews led the team with 520 yards, and Tennessee rushed for a mere 10 touchdowns. It was clearly an area that sought to upgrade in the offseason by adding Henry and former NFL rushing champ DeMarco Murray.

Murray, 28, is the assumed starter, but Henry’s stock is higher at this point. He’s younger and coming off a far more productive season than Murray, who struggled mightily in his only season in Philadelphia.

If Murray’s struggles persist, the Titans won’t hesitate to turn the backfield over to Henry on a more permanent basis. Consider Henry an RB3 for now, but treat him as a player with tremendous upside.
