NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players.
Rookie Aaron Blair will be making his debut against the Marlins. He recorded just four outs and gave up nine runs in his last start against Pittsburgh, so you may want to steer clear. Matt Boyd has never faced Oakland. He pitched well in his first start this year against Cleveland, but only lasted 4.2 innings. That limits his value.

Next: Pitcher Picks

Best Bets:
Danny Salazar ($10,600): Salazar has held the Orioles to a .226 average in 31 at bats with two homers, but only three RBI and a nice 10 strikeouts. Itās a small sample size, but there is no denying his talent. A start against Ubaldo Jimenez looks like a win as well.
Wei-Yin Chen ($8,800): Chen has allowed the Braves to hit .246 against him in 65 at bats, but they have only scored five runs and struck out 17 times. Chen has a good chance to rack up some strikeouts and to get a win against a rookie pitcher. He could outperform his price easily today.
Honorable Mention:
Kyle Hendricks ($9,300): ItāsĀ a small sample size, but Hendricks has only allowed three hits on 16 at bats (.188) to the current Phillies roster. The bad news? He only has three strikeouts. That said, the Phillies offense is not formidable, and it appears as though Hendricks may be able to cruise to a win at Wrigley today.
Yordano Ventura ($6,700): Ventura is a risk if for no other reason than the weather. It has rained so much lately in the Kansas City area that you donāt know if the game is going to happen or not. Then you have to decide whether you want to use a guy withĀ an ERA near 5 against a solid offense. The stats back him up. Ventura has held the White Sox to a .200 average in 90 at bats with two homers, eight RBI, and a cool 21 strikeouts. The potential is here for Ventura to have a good day at a reasonable price.
Dark Horses:
jesse Hahn ($6,500): Hahn has owned the Tigers so far in his career. The Tigers are hitting a horrific .176 against Hahn in 51 at bats with just two runs scored. The downside is that he has only struck out five batters. He wont rack up the Kās which makes him a risk, but if he continues to silence Detroitās bats, he could be a great find this afternoon.
Jerad Eickhoff ($6,400): Eickhoff dominated the Cubs in his start against them last season. He gave up one run (a solo homer to the injured Kyle Schwarber) and struck out eight in six innings. If he can do that this afternoon at Wrigley, you will likely win some money if you took the gamble.
Marcus Stroman ($6,000): Stroman has fallen on rough times lately, but his numbers against Boston speak for themselves. The Red Sox are only hitting .227 off of Stroman in 75 at bats with no homers, only four runs scored, and 17 strikeouts. When you compare that to how well the Jays offense has fared against Porcello, Stroman should be a steal at this price.
Next: Who Are The Best Stacks?

You have heard our FanDuel experts Matt Rogers and Brian Tulloch talk about āstackingā pieces of a lineup against certain pitchers. Here are the stacks that could work well on DraftKings today, based on past statistics.
Jose Bautista ($4.300) will be back from his Friday suspension, just in time to hit against Rick Porcello. Bautista is 13-30(.433) with six walks, three homers, and nine RBI off Porcello. Edwin Encarnacion ($3,700) is 12-32(.375) with four doubles, three homers, and nine RBI against Porcello. Justin Smoak ($2,800) is 7-18(.389) with threeĀ walks, a double, and, you guessed it, three homers and nine RBI against Porcello.Ā Josh Donaldson ($4,200) is struggling compared to the others. He is only 7-26(.269) with a double and a solo homer. This is looking like a good day for a Blue Jays stack.
I donāt really trust Madison Bumgarner at Coors Field either. Not with guys like Carlos Gonzalez ($3,900) boasting a 16-50(.320) line with four walks, four doubles, five homers, and ten RBI off of MadBum.Ā Nolan Arenado ($4,900)Ā is only 6-28(.214), but he has two doubles, two homers, and four RBI. Mark Reynolds ($3,100) could be a nice sneaky play. Reynolds is 4-9 with a double, a homer, and two RBI off of MadBum.
Steve Pearce ($3,500) is 3-10 with a solo homer off of Michael Pineda. Corey Dickerson ($3,300) only has one hit in three at bats against Pineda, but it is a two run homer. Steven Souza Jr. ($3,500) is 6-12 with a double, three homers and six RBI against Pineda already.
If you arenāt considering stacking Brewers against a guy with an ERA over 10 (Alfredo Simon), maybe DFS isnāt your thing. Jonathan Lucroy ($4,300) is 7-12(.583) with a walk, a double, two homers, and three RBI against Simon. Scooter Gennett ($4,100) is 3-10 with two solo homers off of Simon. Even Alex Presley ($2,900) has got in on the action. He is 3-7 with a homer and two RBI against Simon.
Next: More Notes For 5-24

Manny Machado ($4,600) is 2-3 with a solo homer off of Danny Salazar. Pedro Alvarez ($2,800) is 1-2 with a two run shot off of Salazar.
Erick Aybar ($2,200) is 3-7 with a walk, two doubles, and a solo homer off of Wei-Yin Chen. He could be a nice cheap option today.
Todd Frazier ($4,200) is 3-5 with a walk and a solo homer off of Yordano Ventura. Jose Abreu ($4,000) is 2-7 with a walk, a double, a homer, andĀ a pair of RBI.
Mike Napoli ($3,400) is 4-13(.308) with two walks, a double, two homers, and three RBI against Ubaldo Jimenez. Juan Uribe ($2,900) could be worth a look as well. Uribe is 5-15 with two walks, two doubles, and three RBI.
Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce have both hit home runs off of Chase Anderson, but they are a combined 3-16 against him.
Itās a small sample size, but Brian McCann ($3,500) is 2-3 off of fellow lefty Matt Moore with a homer and three RBI. He is worth using if he is in the lineup today.
