NBA Rumors: Five trade destinations for Jahlil Okafor

1. Boston Celtics

Ever since Jahlil Okafor rumors have been popping up, the Boston Celtics have always been the team that is brought up in those rumors. With all the picks and talent that Danny Ainge has brought to the roster, he’s going to have to make a move soon and start consolidating some of those picks into a player.

Okafor to the Celtics is a move that makes a ton of sense. The team can still stretch the floor with him at center and not worry about spacing issues. They would also have someone else that can score the ball and Isaiah Thomas wouldn’t have to do all the work himself on putting the ball in the basket.

Common sense says Okafor for the Celtics’ No. 3 pick and one of their big men, but there is a variety of ways that they can get a deal like this done. If the 76ers are dead set on getting some guards in return, the Celtics also have those, because Ainge has stacked just about every position on the roster.

When a team is often associated with a player, it’s usually because of the fact that they make the most sense in such a deal. That’s the case with Boston and Okafor and if he is indeed moved, this is the most likely destination.
