J.R. Smith knocked down a crazy underhanded shot from half-court in the warmups for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers went on the road to the Air Canada Centre for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday night needing just one more win to advance to the NBA Finals for the second consecutive year. However, they would have to get that win on the road obviously and that would necessitate big games from LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love surely, but also key performances from guys like J.R. Smith.

Though it’s just warmups, it seems like J.R. Smith is already looking pretty comfortable in the Air Canada Centre.

Prior to tip-off on Friday night, J.R. was warming up and taking some deep shots from half-court. Before going back to the locker room to join the rest of his team, though, Smith threw up an underhanded heave from mid-court. Even underhanded from way deep, Smith gets buckets:

If J.R. Smith is hitting that shot in the pre-game the Raptors and their home fans could be in for a rude awakening on Friday night. That’s not the type of shot that a man who isn’t feeling it takes and/or knocks down. And when Smith is playing with confidence, it might as well be light out for whoever he and the Cavaliers are playing. With the series on the line, that’s bad news for Toronto.
