Christian Pulisic finished gorgeously for the USMNT in a friendly vs Bolivia to put the Americans up 4-0 and become the youngest goal-scorer in team history
When it comes to American soccer and the USMNT, there always seems to be one player that fans look at as the “next big thing” or the “next great hope” for soccer in the states. There have been the Freddy Adus and the Julian Greens more contemporarily. However, 17-year-old Christian Pulisic might actually be the real deal when it comes to all of those things and he showed us a bit of a reason why on Saturday in a friendly vs. Bolivia.
With the USMNT absolutely dominating the friendly match, Bolivia gave up the ball in their defensive third and the Americans unleashed an all out attack. Darlington Nagbe then had options with the ball at his feet right inside the box. He decided to play it wide to his right to Pulisic making a run to the right-center of the box. Pulisic then got his foot on it cleanly and tucked away a gorgeous shot for the goal:
"What a moment! 17-year-old Christian Pulisic becomes the youngest goalscorer in #USMNT history. #USAvBOL https://t.co/c7r0L6dt8m— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) May 29, 2016"
That’s absolutely marvelous in so many ways for the Borussia Dortmund youngster in Pulisic. Not only is it a great goal for a 17-year-old, but it’s also a goal that makes him the youngest goal-scorer in USMNT history.
Though it’s still early for him, it feels safe to say that USMNT might have their next big star in Pulisic.
