FInd out how to watch Gambia take on Zambia in international friendly action.
Gambia hosts Zambia in international friendly action on Monday. The two African nations will face off in what could end up being a scoreless draw or a thrilling, high-scoring match.
It’s been a tough road recently for Gambia. They failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup last Fall. They were eliminated in the first round of qualifying to Namibia. Their chances of making the 2017 African Cup of Nations is also slim as they use their May and June friendlies to prepare for the next qualifying match in September against Cameroon.
Zambia has yet to qualify for a World Cup either. However, they have a better track record in African Cup of Nations qualifying and in the actual tournament competition. They won the 2012 edition, but failed to get out of the group stage in 2013 and 2015.
