NCAA Baseball Tournament 2016: College Station Regional set

Here is a look at the four team field for the College Station Regional in the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament that kicks off this weekend.

It’s tournament time in the world of NCAA baseball as the 64 team field has been announced for the annual tournament. The regional round kicks off this weekend with 16 teams advancing to the best of three Super Regional round next weekend at sites across the country.

The 16 regional sites were announced on Sunday, with the Texas A&M Aggies getting the chance to host one in College Station, Texas. The Aggies are coming off a wild comeback win over the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship Game to win their first baseball title since joining the conference in 2012, while keeping them in line for one of the eight coveted spots as a national seed.

The field for the College Station Regional, which is a double elimination tournament that can have a maximum of seven games, is as follows:

The 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament starts this weekend and concludes with the College World Series, which takes place from June 18 through the 29th in Omaha, Nebraska on the networks of ESPN.
