NCAA Baseball Tournament 2016: Who is the No. 1 seed?

Here is a look at who is the number one seed in the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament, which starts this weekend and concludes with the College World Series.

The road to Omaha and the College World Series begins for 64 NCAA baseball teams this weekend. The field has been set for the 2016 NCAA Tournament, which will start off with 16 regional series this weekend and eight Super Regionals the following weekend to decide the field for the CWS.

Eight teams received the honor of getting a national seed meaning they will host a Super Regional automatically if they advance and are considered the top teams in college baseball entering the tournament.

The overall top seed went to the Florida Gators. For much for the season, Florida was the top team in the nation and advanced to the SEC Championship Game this season and finished with a 47-13 record.

They will be joined in the national seeding by (in order of seeding) are the Louisville Cardinals, Miami Hurricanes, Texas A&M Aggies, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Clemson Tigers and the LSU Tigers.

The 2016 College World Series takes place from June 18th through the 29th in Omaha, Nebraska on the networks of ESPN.
