Taking a look at the Raleigh Regional in the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament now that the bracket is set

After the regional sites for the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament were announced on Sunday night, one of them was the Raleigh Regional with the North Carolina State Wolfpack obviously looking to be the top seed in that region. However, the question with the reveal of the bracket on Monday was who they would be facing and what seed they would have overall.

Well, the Wolfpack weren’t given one of the top-8 national seeds, but that shouldn’t lessen the impact that they could ultimately have when it comes to the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament. Only adding to the drama is the fact that NC State were placed in a region with some dangerous mid-major type teams and on a spot in the bracket that could set them up for a matchup with the No. 8 national seed LSU Tigers in the Super Regionals if they advance.

Let’s take a look at the Raleigh Regional for the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament:

NC State has been fantastic all season and that first game against the Navy Midshipmen shouldn’t be too much to handle at all, however, the question will be if Coastal Carolina can come through and knock them off after a fantastic season. This is going to be one of the most compelling regions out in Raleigh and you won’t want to miss a second of the action at all.
