Lacrosse is often referred to as the fastest game on two feet and that’s an accurate way to describe the action on the field. On Monday afternoon, two of the best college lacrosse programs will do battle to see who’s the best in the fastest game as the Maryland Terrapins and North Carolina Tar Heels will do battle in the 2016 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse National Championship.

As far as the Maryland Terrapins go, they were pretty much always expected to get to this point. They entered the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament as the No. 1 overall seed out of 16 and dominated all the way up to the semifinals as they skated by against the Brown Bears. North Carolina on the other hand has played the role of underdog throughout the tourney, winning as the lower seed in all three matchups to get to this point. All they need is one more win, though, to be crowned national champs as the Cinderellas of this tournament.

The 2016 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse National Championship game will be broadcast on ESPN 2 on Monday with live streaming on WatchESPN, which can be accessed online or through the app using a cable or satellite subscription.
