Stephen Curry hit a ridiculous lay-up at the buzzer of the first half in Game 7 against the Thunder
Stephen Curry once again started out slow in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, even with the decisive game being in Oracle Arena. However, it seemed as if the league MVP in Stephen Curry might’ve been sending a message at the end of the first half that his struggles weren’t going to continue and that he was about to start playing like a cheat code once again.
After a big three-point play from Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry ran down the floor in under five seconds, penetrated the Oklahoma City defense, and got right to the rim. Though he was met with contention, he threw up a wild lay-up onto the glass. Because he’s Steph, of course the circus shot banked right in and through the net for an absurd play at the buzzer:
If that shot’s going to fall, we might as well go ahead and consider the Thunder DOA against the Warriors in the second half.
Even when he’s played well for stretches, one thing that fans haven’t seen from Stephen Curry in the West Finals is the MVP just going supernova to where no one can even hope to do anything to stop him. If he can somehow harness the momentum from this shot, though, that looks like the place we might be heading to close out the series.
