Who ended up winning the 2015 College World Series?

The 2015 College World Series proved to be one of the most competitive College World Series yet.

With the Vanderbilt Commodores coming into the tournament as the defending champions and with stud shortstop Dansby Swanson on their team, everyone thought the Commodores would run away with the title.

What they weren’t ready for in the best-of-three series with the Virginia Cavaliers, was a team that showed grit, heart and never gave up on the diamond.

After the two teams split the first two games in the series, it all came down to a deciding game between the two.

The Cavaliers wound up winning Game 3 by a score of 4-2 and they ended up avenging their loss to the Commodores in the championship just a year prior.

It was one of the best series to ever be played in Omaha and the two teams left it all on the line in pursuit of a National Championship.

The only question that remains is whether or not the 2016 World Series can live up to the hype. The good news is that the field is just as talented this year as it was last.
