A nice round of golf in Florida was ruined when a miniature dinosaur/large alligator decided to play through.
The old saying is golf is a good walk, spoiled.
Well, if you were around the 15th green at Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida your round of golf wasn’t just spoiled, you saw a deleted scene from Jurassic Park.
Say what?
Charles Helms from Sarasota, Florida was just having a nice casual round of golf when he saw a miniature dinosaur strolling across the course. Okay, the miniature dinosaur was an alligator estimated to be 15-feet long.
Yes, this is proof that dinosaurs are real and alligators are the apex predator that will never go extinct because nothing can kill them.
The reptile was so massive that Helms didn’t think it could possibly be real and thought Jamie Kennedy was about to come out and tell him he was on a hidden camera prank show.
“I was stunned and silent,” he told ABC Action News.
“I didn’t know if we were being punked or something.
“It was just laying down, resting, when it got up and started moving towards the big lake.”
Frequent visitors of the course may have seen him on previous trips, because apparently, he’s been a long-time member.
“He doesn’t bother anybody and they don’t bother him, he’s like a mascot for the course,” course employee Wendy Schofield told 3 News.
“He has been here for a very, very long time … There have been guesses that he’s 15 to 16 feet long.”
I wonder if this will bring more golfers out to the course to catch a glimpse of the massive gator?
