The Chicago Cubs are dominating the early MLB All-Star Game voting including having the entire starting infield for the National League.

One day after releasing the early voting results for the American League, the first voting for the National League in the MLB All-Star game was released on Wednesday, and the league-leading Chicago Cubs fared extremely well.

Not only did first baseman Anthony Rizzo lead all players with 874,471 votes, the Cubs currently hold five of a possible eight starting spots across the diamond, including all positions on the infield. Joining Rizzo as a starter on the infield are second baseman Ben Zobrist, third baseman Kris Bryant and shortstop Addison Russell.

Cubs’ outfielder Dexter Fowler only trails Bryce Harper in voting in the outfield, and both Jason Heyward and Jorge Soler came in fourth and sixth respectively in the outfield voting. It is safe to say that Cubs’ fans have showed up in full force to get their players to the MLB All-Star Game.

Yadier Molina currently leads Buster Posey by a narrow margin at the catcher position, and Yoenis Cespedes is currently the third outfielder behind Harper and Fowler.

The 2016 MLB All-Star Game will take place on July 12th and will be hosted this season by the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. The first results for the National League will be released by Major League Baseball on Wednesday.
