Mookie Betts hits five home runs in seven at-bats (Video)

Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts went on an offensive surge and hit five home runs in seven at-bats over two games.

Sometimes in baseball, it’s just best to stop pitching to a guy.

The Baltimore Orioles quickly learned that lesson the hard way on Tuesday night and once again on Wednesday night. After Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts went off for three home runs on Tuesday night, he decided that he wasn’t done hitting home runs against the Orioles.

On his first at-bat of the game on Wednesday night, Betts launched a home run to lead off the game for his fourth home run in six at-bats. The entire dugout lost their minds, as Betts rounded the bases amid a  crazy power surge.

As if things weren’t crazy enough, on his second at-bat of the game, Betts decided that he wasn’t done hitting home runs and decided to launch his second of the night and his fifth home run overall in seven at-bats.

It’s safe to say that Betts is on fire right now. It’s also safe to say that the Orioles should start walking him every time he steps up to the plate against them.

The baseball looks like a beach ball to him right now and he is absolutely crushing it.
