DeAndre' Bembry . 28. player. 66.
The Phoenix Suns appear to have a burgeoning shooting guard prospect in Devin Booker, but they are still looking for a small forward who can play next to the sharpshooter. St. Joseph’s DeAndre Bembry is versatile option at the wing who can bring playmaking and defensive flexibility to Phoenix’s roster.

Unlike Booker, Bembry isn’t much of a three-point shooter. He made just 31.2 percent of his 385 attempts during his three seasons with the Hawks. He is also a poor free throw shooter, which suggests he’ll need significant work on his jump shot in order to become an outside threat. However, what Bembry offers that other wing prospects in this class don’t is an impressive playmaking ability. At St. Joseph’s he regularly played as the team’s primary ball-handler. He was an effective distributor, posting a 24.1 percent assist rate as a junior while turning the ball over on just 11.2 percent of possessions.

Defensively, Bembry has the potential to guard multiple positions, as he did in college. He has a 6-9.25 wingspan and will be able to fill out his 6-6 frame. He has experience already battling against larger opponents even in the post, which should help him translate well at the next level.

To read more about DeAndre Bembry, <a href=. SF.
