Florida Panthers unveil new uniforms (Photo)
The Florida Panthers officially unveiled their new uniforms on Thursday.
With the Florida Panthers boasting a roster full of talent and youth, the team is on the rise in the Eastern Conference and is coming off of a trip to the playoffs. With the team set to move forward in a new era of hockey, they decided to roll out some new uniforms and provide a different look to the team.
Long gone is the famous logo of the panther leaping right at you. The logo that screamed the 90’s, is being replaced by a more distinguished looking panther that is inside of a crest. Rather than the cat leaping out, it has a noble feel to it with the logo being that of a panther from the neck up.
As for the jersey style, there are two and they are an inverse of the other. The home jersey is a red jersey with the crest in the middle over a giant white stripe with gold piping that stretches to the sleeves.
The road is the opposite with a white jersey with the crest logo over a red stripe with gold piping that also stretches to the sleeve. It’s a little more clean and simple than their previous uniforms, but it’s also a great look for a team on the rise.
The jersey also has a patch of the Florida flag on the sleeves, which includes a panther over the top of it.
