Matthew Dellavedova hits Andre Iguodala in the groin (Video)

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova hit Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala right in the groin.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors engaged in a lively battle in third quarter of Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night, when the Cavaliers managed to rally from a deficit and briefly take the lead.

With the two teams in a dead heat, things started to get a little bit chippy on the floor and players had to be separated when Cavaliers guard MAtthew Dellavedova smacked Warriors foward Andre Iguodala right in the groin.

Players immediately got into a scrum and began pushing and shoving, as everyone got pulled apart and taken back to their benches. Upon review, Dellavedova got Iguodala right in the groin, but it’s hard to tell if it was intentional or if he was going after the ball.

Still, with players on each team having a penchant for taking some shots, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some fines handed down on account of this little situation.

The NBA Finals have begun and the two teams are already getting chippy and going at it with each other.
