NBA referee Ken Mauer trips and eats it during NBA Finals (Video)

NBA referee Ken Mauer tripped and fell during Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Mama, there goes that man.

In Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, NBA referee Ken Mauer learned quickly that the job can be an occupational hazard at times.

With the fast pace that the Warriors play at, refs have to do their best to try and keep up on the play. As the Warriors got down the floor and Leandro Barbosa was about to unload from deep, the trailing Mauer tripped over Barbosa and was launched out of bounds.

Mauer totally ate hardwood and Barbosa drilled the three in epic fashion.

Fortunately, Mauer was okay, which makes the whole thing even funnier to laugh at hindsight. Even more incredible is the fact that Barbosa didn’t even flinch with a grown human being tripping over him and he was able to hit the three.

This isn’t the first time that Mauer has hurt himself this year, as he cut his finger during the Eastern Conference Playoffs and the game would halt as he got it cleaned up.

Hand down, referee down.
