Clemson Tigers vs. Western Carolina Catamounts

The Clemson Tigers have been an ACC and college baseball powerhouse for quite some time now as they are in the national title conversation seemingly coming into every season. That’s the case again this year and they’re on track as they host the Clemson Regional. Their run to the College World Series will start at home at Kingsmore Stadium on Friday evening as the welcome the Western Carolina Catamounts to town to start their 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament.

Clemson boasts one of the most dynamic and exciting young hitters in college baseball in Seth Beer as the freshman won both Freshman and Player of the Year honors out of the ACC. That being said, Western Carolina is a veteran, well-coached team that could be a bit frisky if Clemson makes the mistake of taking them lightly on Friday.
