Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. Southeast Missouri State Redhawks

There haven’t been quite any teams in all of NCAA Baseball this season that have shown the highs that the Mississippi State Bulldogs have throughout the year. At their best, they’ve been phenomenal. They’ll need to turn that on starting on Friday as they take on the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks in their home of Starkville in the Starkville Regional. It’ll be a home game, but not one that Mississippi State can afford to take lightly.

Despite the difference in size, prestige, and everything of the sort between Mississippi State and Southeast Missouri State, this should be a tough matchup for the Starkville Regional host. Though the Bulldogs have shown tremendous heights that they can reach, they have been decidedly average at times. Meanwhile, the Redhawks have shown they can reach a nice peak as well and could challenge Mississippi State if they get to that level in the first game of the tournament.

This first round game in the Starkville Regional will be broadcast on Friday on ESPN3 and live streaming will be on WatchESPN, which can be accessed either through the ESPN app or online by using a login for a cable or satellite subscription.
