When can football fans look forward to the Copa America again after this year?

The Copa America is one of the most exciting periods of the year. Unfortunately for football fans, they will have to go up against the Euros, meaning they’ll have a difficult choice to face.

However, the Copa America never fails to deliver on excitement, and if you’re American, this year is the best time to be patriotic by showing off your teams’ colors and showcase how well the game has grown.

Usually, the Copa America has a berth in the FIFA Confederations Cup at stake, but since Chile clinched that last year, that won’t be up for grabs. This year’s tournament is meant to celebrate the 100th year of the competition since it was founded. And with the field expanded to 16 teams this year, it’s the biggest tournament they’ve ever put on, and it’s sure to be extremely competitive.

Because of how much effort has been put in to making this the best possible Copa America, the next edition might feel like a bit of a letdown. But it will be held in Brazil, and they never fail to put on a show. When they hosted the World Cup in 2014, many people thought it was the best World Cup ever done.

The Copa America has been pretty sporadic with how often they put on the tournament, but they try to do it once every four years. After having this one-off tournament, they will continue the four-year cycle by having the next one in 2019.
