Vanderbilt Commodores vs. Xavier Musketeers

The Vanderbilt Commodores have produced some of the greatest college baseball players of the last 20 years and have enjoyed tremendous success because of it. They were the national runner-up last season, but would like to get their hands on the trophy this season. That will start on Friday as they host the Nashville Regional and will take on the Xavier Musketeers at Hawkins Field looking to start off with a win.

As one of the plethora of regional hosts out of the SEC, Vanderbilt were quite phenomenal this season even playing against supreme competition. Against a Xavier team that just eclipsed being .500 for the season, Vanderbilt’s chief concern should be not having a letdown game and getting off without a hitch against Xavier so they can hopefully make a College World Series run yet again.
