The 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament is underway with 32 games scheduled for Saturday featuring some of the top teams in the sport. The Gainesville Regional will feature a second day matchup between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats
The second seeded Yellow Jackets fell behind early, giving up seven runs in the second inning of their regional opener against UConn. Georgia Tech would fight back and score six runs, but came up just short and dropped their first game 7-6.
The fourth seeded Wildcats fell behind early in their opener against the top seeded Florida Gators and couldn’t claw back, dropping the 9-3 decision in their second loss of the year to their cross-state foes.
