UNC Wilmington vs Rhode Island live stream: Watch NCAA Baseball Tournament online
By Nick Tylwalk
UNC Wilmington and Rhode Island will look to stay unbeaten in the NCAA Baseball Tournament on Saturday.
A match-up between two teams that took very different routes to winning their first games in the Columbia Regional of the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament will take place on Saturday.
Second-seeded UNC Wilmington simply took care of business, riding a complete game from pitcher Ryan Foster and plenty of offense to turn their game with the Duke Blue Devils into a laugher.
Rhode Island, meanwhile, had the unenviable task of playing South Carolina on its home field. Yet the Rams dug down deep after going 4-0 down after three innings, plating five runs over the next two frames and holding on for the 5-4 upset.
Pulling off a second straight upset could be a tall order for Rhode Island, but it could turn into one of the more interesting stories of the NCAA Baseball Tournament so far if it happens. The winner will get a full 24 hours to rest before its third game, while the loser returns to action at noon on June 5th to play the winner of the South Carolina-Duke contest.
