Looking at the Kevin Love injury for the Cavaliers after he took a shot to the back of the head in Game 2 of the NBA Finals

Kevin Love was absolutely destroyed for much of the night in Game 1 of the 2016 NBA Finals as the Cleveland Cavaliers forward wasn’t able to get into any resemblance of a rhythm against the Golden State Warriors. However, the Cavs had to be hoping that he’d come out in Game 2 with something better. It looks as if he might not get the chance after a Harrison Barnes elbow, though.

Just about midway through the second quarter, Kevin Love looked like he was going to get an uncontested rebound on the left block. However, Barnes came swooping in out of nowhere to make a play. In doing so, though, the Warriors forward sent an elbow right to the back of Love’s head and sent him down to the ground.

Love obviously had to leave the floor for fear that the veteran star suffered a concussion. That apparently wasn’t the case, though, as he was back in the game before halftime of Game 2.

Obviously this will be something that we all need to keep an eye on throughout the rest of Game 2 and the rest of the NBA Finals. It could leave nothing more than a knot on Kevin Love (and let’s hope that all it is), but only time will truly tell.

Update, 9:40 p.m. ET

Kevin Love initially came out for the second half, but promptly left the bench and was taken back to the locker room.
