Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert held no punches when giving his thoughts on the NBA Finals and his inferences about the Cleveland Cavaliers

Despite the immense amount of hype that brewed leading up to the start of the 2016 NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, anyone who’s been watching would be remiss to say that the hype may have been undeserved. After losing by double-digits even with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson struggling in Game 1, the Cavaliers were destroyed in Game 2 to go down 2-0 in the series.

Apparently that was enough for Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert to get the center to his breaking point where he could no longer hold his tongue.

After the Game 2 blowout, Gobert had this to say about the NBA Finals on Twitter with shade being thrown quite heavily at the series and the Cavaliers:

Considering that the Warriors coming back on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals was an all-time classic, saying that series was better than the NBA Finals would’ve been one thing. But Gobert is holding no punches as he goes with the second round. That’s as shady as a trail in the forest.

What’s worse about the NBA Finals as a fan, though, is the fact that Gobert isn’t even entirely wrong. The Cavaliers haven’t looked like a match in virtually any regard throughout this series and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change. If it doesn’t, you have to think neither will the opinions of the Jazz center.
