The Starkville Regional of the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament is one where the top-seeded host team has had everything go its way so far. But the Bulldogs still have some work to do before they advance.

With weather extending the first day of baseball on Friday into the weekend, the Bulldogs had to wait and see who they would play in their second game. That ended up being Cal State Fullerton, who scraped by Louisiana Tech 1-0.

Those two teams will face each other again in the elimination game on Sunday. Louisiana Tech was able to get past Southeast Missouri State to survive, while Cal State Fullerton fell to Mississippi State by a 4-1 score.

The Bulldogs will wait for the survivor and hope to advance without taking things to Monday.
