Broncos made Danny Trevathan fly economy to White House

After Danny Trevathan signed with the Chicago Bears following the Broncos’ Super Bowl victory, Denver booked Trevathan’s flight to DC in economy class.

The Denver Broncos lost a number of free agents this offseason after winning the Super Bowl. One of them is Danny Trevathan, who signed with the Chicago Bears. Trevathan had to fly into Washington D.C. to go to the White House and meet President Barrack Obama with the rest of the Super Bowl champions. There’s just one issue. The Broncos booked Trevathan in coach.

What a way to short change somebody Broncos. However, considering Denver’s cap situation, it’s amazing that the Broncos didn’t just get him a Megabus ticket. Trevathan didn’t really care though, because he gets to meet Obama and chill with his Broncos teammates one last time.

Will Trevathan get any special treatment from Obama, who is a fan of the Chicago Bears? We’ll have to see. Unlike Trevathan, quarterback Brock Osweiler will not be attending the White House celebration. He’s too busy getting used to the Houston Texans’ offense. Trevathan had 73 tackles and two interceptions during the regular season in 2015. He added 16 tackles and two fumble recoveries in the postseason to help the Broncos win the Super Bowl.

Trevathan will hope to prove that he is worth the contract that the Bears gave to him. He will be getting extensive playing time for the first time in his career and will be playing a much larger role with the Bears than he did with the Broncos.
