High Salary OF

Mookie Betts-Boston Red Sox (4,600): Betts has been on fire with double-digit fantasy points in seven straight before Sundays three-fantasy-point letdown.  He’ll look to get back in the groove tonight in San Francisco as he leads the potent Boston offense to AT&T Park. Betts is extremely expensive but offers power, speed, and average that make him a very attractive option. In the last week, Betts is hitting .375 with five homers, five walks, a stolen base, seven runs scored, and ten RBI.∗∗

Bryce Harper-Washington Nationals (4,000): The Nats are in Chicago after their day off yesterday to take on the White Sox and Mat Latos who has struggled lately after getting off to a hot start to the season.  Harper is just 2-11 against Latos in his career, but he is coming off a three-hit game on Sunday when he bumped his average back up to .249.  He and the Nats don’t visit U.S. Cellular Field often, but I think he’ll seize his chance to put on a show tonight.

Mark Trumbo-Baltimore Orioles (4,000): Trumbo went yard again last night giving him four long balls in his last five games and over 18 fantasy points in five of his last six. He’s crushing the ball at a .303 pace at home in Camden Yards where he’ll face Yordano Ventura and the Royals tonight. Turbo is 3-9 against Ventura in his career, and makes a solid play tonight given his recent form.

Christian Yelich-Miami Marlins (3,600): Yelich has hit in six straight games and is 11-24 (.458) over the last week with three doubles and four RBI.  His recent hot streak has bumped his average up to .328 on the season and he comes into tonight’s matchup with the Twins sporting an impressive .930 OPS. Yelich hasn’t faced Pat Dean in his career, but he hasn’t has any issues with lefties this season hitting .316 against them. Yelich doesn’t have the power of Trumbo or Harper, but he’s a very solid option who is on quite a roll right now.

Lorenzo Cain-Kansas City Royals (3,100): Cain’s price has dropped after three straight games without a hit.  He is 0-10 with a pair of walks in those three contests, but I think he’ll turn it around tonight against Ubaldo Jimenez and the Orioles.  Cain has owned Jimenez in their past meetings going 8-17 against him with a homer and five RBI. He was hitting just fine before he hit this funk, so look for him to bounce back tonight with a big game at an affordable price.
