Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has ditched his legal team and hired Casey Anthony’s former lawyer.

While former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is already serving a life sentence in prison for the murder of Odin Lloyd, he is preparing to stand trial for double-murder charges stemming from a drive-by-shooting incident outside of a club in 2012.

With yet another huge trial on tap for Hernandez, he has decided to get rid of his original legal team and target one of the best defense attorneys in the United States.

According to criminal defense attorney Jose Baez via Michele Steele, he will be representing Hernandez in his upcoming trial.

For those that don’t know, Baez is one of the most sough after defense attorneys in the United States and he was the attorney that represented Casey Anthony in Florida. In that case, Baez was able to successfully get Anthony acquitted of murder charges, which turned out to be one of the most high-profile cases in American history.

From his statement, it’s clear that Baez is assembling a top team aimed to try and get Hernandez acquitted of his double-murder charges.

While he is already in prison for life, Hernandez is making sure that he is represented by the best in the court system.
