The Cleveland Cavaliers trolling continues, as the fans booed when they showed Nickelback wearing Golden State Warriors jerseys.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals has been a tight contest so far, despite the fact that the Cleveland Cavaliers once led it by 20 points. They haven’t been able to match the Golden State Warriors in terms of on-court skill, so that’s why they’re hoping to win by psychological warfare tonight.

After Klay Thompson briefly exited the game, a Cavaliers fan was seen mocking him. And this time, during a break in the game, the Cavs jumbotron showed Nickelback wearing Warriors jerseys, and the crowd booed in unison:

Of course, they could’ve gone with the obvious Crying Jordan, but this was much more creative. However, if the Warriors lose this game, expect somebody to photoshop Crying Jordan onto this picture.

Nickelback is a band that everyone loves to hate, mostly because they tried to keep grunge alive long after it died. But they’re a Canadian band, so if they’re going to have a rooting interest for any team, it would probably be the Toronto Raptors.

Regardless, this was still an expert troll job by the Cavaliers personnel. If they want to win this game and even up the series at home, they’re going to need every advantage they can get, and rattling the visitors like this is definitely a great way to do it.
