Identifying the top high salary and value catcher plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 8 DraftKings lineup.
Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.
As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.
High Salary
Jonathan Lucroy, Brewers (5,200): Lucroy is in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak. Over that span, he’s reached double-digit fantasy points five times. He’s crushing right-handed pitching this season (.358, seven HRs) and should be in for a solid day against Oakland Athletics starter Jesse Hahn (2-3, 6.10 ERA).
Salvador Perez, Royals (3,900): Perez is hitless (0-for-10) over his last three games, but he has three hits, including a home run, in his career against Baltimore Orioles righty Chris Tillman. Perez’s average is 70 points higher against righties than lefties. He’s a solid play on Wednesday.
High Value
Miguel Montero, Cubs (3,000): Montero has not been having a great season, but he’s an interesting option Wednesday against Philadelphia Phillies righty Vince Velasquez. Montero is 2-for-3 with a home run in his career against Velasquez, who has been struggling of late. Montero’s worth a roll of the dice.
Bryan Holaday, Rangers (2,300): Holaday is best suited for GPP lineups, but he comes at a major discounted price. He has five hits over his last four games, including a home run last Tuesday. If the Rangers do some damage against Houston Astros starter Doug Fister, Holaday should benefit.
