DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy baseball outfielders options-June 8

Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 8 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Mike Trout, Angels (5,500): Trout has had a quiet series in New York so far. Expect that to change on Wednesday. He’s gone 0-for-6 at the plate in two games but still managed to tally nine total DraftKings points. On Wednesday, Trout will face Nathan Eovaldi, against whom he is 4-for-10 in his career. Trout’s high salary could keep his ownership down, which is another bonus.

Mark Trumbo, Orioles (5,000): Trumbo’s resurgent debut season in Baltimore just keeps rolling along. He’s now homered in his last two games and has hit double digits in fantasy points in six of his last seven games. He’s crushing right-handed pitching (.329, 13 HRs), which bodes well for his matchup with Edinson Volquez (5-5, 4.03 ERA).

High Value

Robbie Grossman, Twins (2,900): The switch-hitting Grossman remains one of the hottest players in the majors right now. He’s homered in consecutive games and has 41 combined fantasy points over that stretch. He’s been particularly potent against left-handers (.423), so the matchup Wednesday against Wei-Yin Chen is an inviting one.

Chris Young, Red Sox (2,400): Young is best considered a GPP punt play, but there’s plenty to like here, especially for the deeply-discounted salary. First of all, he’s 7-for-20 with two doubles and a home run against San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner. He’s also hitting .414 against southpaws this season. That’s enough to warrant some DFS consideration.
