Identifying the top high salary and value second base plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 8 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Ian Kinsler, Tigers (5,100): Kinsler has absolutely owned Toronto Blue Jays knuckleballer R.A. Dickey over the course of his career. The Tigers second baseman is 8-for-19 with three home runs and six RBIs. Couple that with his current stretch of three straight two-hit games, and Kinsler is a no-brainer on Wednesday’s slate.

Rougned Odor, Rangers (4,300): Odor has been on fire since his return from a suspension. He has five hits over four games, including a home run, along with a pair of double-digit fantasy point performances. He’s 2-for-5 with a homer in his career against Houston Astros starter Doug Fister, making him a strong play.

High Value

Derek Dietrich, Marlins (3,700): Like his teammate Justin Bour, Dietrich has never faced Minnesota Twins starter Ricky Nolasco. But his righty-lefty splits indicate he could have success right away against the Twins right-hander. Dietrich is hitting 40 points higher against righties this season, and Nolasco (2-4, 4.93 ERA) hasn’t exactly been lighting the world on fire.

Cesar Hernandez, Phillies (2,500): This is a punt play for GPPs only, but it’s an interesting one. Hernandez continues to bat toward the top of the Phillies’ lineup, and he has reached double digits in fantasy points in two of his last four games. He’ll be low-owned against Chicago Cubs righty John Lackey.
