DraftKings Early MLB Picks For June 8
There are only four afternoon games on this Wednesday, which makes this the smaller tournament of the day. There are a few good options. Let’s find out what the past stats say!

NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players.

Next: Pitcher Picks

Best Bet:
Drew Pomeranz ($11,700): It’s a small sample size, but the Braves have mustered just four singles in 19 at bats (.211) with no runs and six strikeouts. This is a good pitcher against a bad offense. Enough said. Pomeranz will be owned in nearly all lineups this afternoon, but he will also be the starting point to a winning lineup.
Honorable Mention:
Jake Odorizzi ($9,000): The Diamondbacks are only hitting .214 in 14 at bats against Odorizzi with three strikeouts. He has also not faced Paul Goldschmidt or Yasmany Tomas. Still, given the iffy histories of the guys in front of him, Odorizzi could be a solid option this afternoon.
Dark Horse:
Archie Bradley ($7,700): Bradley has never faced the Rays, and has had a rough go of it in his early career. That said, he has given up only four runs in his last two starts, including only one in six innings at Wrigley Field in his last outing. It sure looks like he can handle the Rays right now.
Next: Who Are The Best Stacks?

You have heard our FanDuel experts Matt Rogers and Brian Tulloch talk about “stacking” pieces of a lineup against certain pitchers. Here are the stacks that could work well on DraftKings today, based on past statistics.
You may want to consider a Tigers stack against R.A. Dickey. Miguel Cabrera ($4,100) is only 7-27(.259) against Dickey, but he has two walks, a double, and two solo homers. Ian Kinsler ($5,100) is 8-19(.421) with a walk, three homers, and six RBI against Dickey. J.D. Martinez ($4,600) is 3-11 with a walk, a double, a homer, and two driven in. Justin Upton ($3,800) is only 2-11, but he has a double, a homer, and two RBI.
Miguel Montero ($3,000) hit a three run homer off of Vince Velasquez on May 29th. Ben Zobrist ($4,300) hit a three run homer in that game. When the dust had cleared, Velazquez had given up seven runs in 4.2 innings pitched. Stacking Cubs looks like a pretty good idea.
Check out this stat line: Yangervis Solarte ($3,200) is 5-6 against Julio Teheran with a homer and two RBI.
Tyler Goeddel and Cody Asche are a combined 3-7 with two solo homers against John Lackey. Ryan Howard is only 3-13 against Lackey, but he has hit two solo homers off of him.
This is kind of a weird guy to have a good history against Jordan Zimmerman, but Josh Thole ($2,400) is 8-20 with a walk and three RBI against Zimmerman. He will likely start the day game, but check the lineups just to make sure beforehand.
