Shortstop

High-Salary Option: Jonathan Villar-Milwaukee Brewers (3,800): Villar was a big letdown for me last night going 0-4 against the A’s and finishing with a goose egg. However, I’m back for more from the Brewers leadoff man since he is in a good matchup again tonight against Jesse Hahn and should be at the top of a productive lineup tonight.∗∗

Mid-range Option: Eduardo Nunez-Minnesota Twins (3,500): Nunez has been on a power binge lately and has four homers in the last week while going 9-28 (.321) and piling up multiple hits in seven of his last ten contests.  He is hitting .359 this year against lefties with five of his nine homers coming against southpaws.  He’ll face lefty Wei-Yin Chen tonight making him one of the best plays at SS as he looks to stay scorching hot. ∗∗∗

High-Value Option: Gregorio Petit-Los Angeles Angels (2,600): Petit is the way to go if you have to save money at SS today as he comes into tonight’s game in New York 8-19 (.421) in June with six doubles. Petit has two hits in three straight games and will look to keep things rolling from the bottom of the Angels’ order.
