Keith Yandle will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career in 2016. Here are five teams that should sign the talented blue liner.

29 year old defenseman Keith Yandle is about to enter unchartered territory as he is going to hit the free agent market for the first time in his 10 year career. Yandle will be entering free agency on a high note, having scored at least 40 points in each of his last seven seasons, excluding the lockout shortened 2013 season (during which he still had 30 points in 48 games). In 661 career games, he has 339 points. Averaging over a point every two games is impressive for a forward and even more so for a defenseman.

That isn’t to say that he is without flaws. His defense is not as good as his offense, though he is one of the better defensemen in the league at getting the puck out of the defensive zone. Yandle isn’t physical despite his 6’1″, 195 pound frame. However, he moves the puck at an elite level, plus he is great at putting the puck in the net and helping others do the same. Teams covet that.

Keith Yandle is going to get a huge contract this offseason. But who will be the team to sign him? Here are five teams that should sign him.
