Cavaliers and Warriors fans in attendance for Game 3 of the NBA Finals perfectly combined to sing the national anthem

For big sporting events, fans are quite accustomed to hearing the national anthem be sung by some lucky charm, a big time recording artist, or something of that sort. However, the Cleveland Cavaliers had something quite incredible in store for the fans in attendance for Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals on Wednesday night.

Inside Quicken Loans Arena, the Cavaliers and Warriors fans were the ones tasked with singing the national anthem.

In what was one of the coolest pre-game moments that sports fans will ever see, fans around The Q combined their voices to sing The Star-Spangled Banner and they absolutely slayed it to perfection:

Okay, so maybe Jessica Ruiz got them started, but the fans certainly finished it.

Quite frankly, this should happen all of the time and I’m surprised this is such a rare occurrence that isn’t done relatively frequently. The mood it creates, the feeling that it gives the fans, and even the anthem that it produces are all of the highest quality. So to see this and it be so abnormal is kind of weird.

Hats off to all of the fans, Cavaliers and Warriors alike, for contributing their voices to the national anthem ahead of Game 3, though. This was absolutely stupendous and, if they gave out Grammys for best renditions of The Star-Spangled Banner prior to a sporting event, this one gets my vote.
