PROVIDENCE, RI – MARCH 17: Taurean Prince /

100. Taurean Prince could be an ideal match with the Indiana Pacers — a team who is looking to get up-and-down the court a little more in the Nate McMillan era. Prince is a “3 and D” threat in NBA and his size (6-8) and wingspan (7-0) both scream solid wing defender. Prince has been all over the board since draft season began as some have him as high at No. 15 and I’ve seen him as low as No. 32 recently as well.
He’s a bit of a wildcard, because he fits the mold and has all the tools, to be a solid defender in the NBA but we didn’t see too much of those skills in the NCAA ranks, due to Baylor mainly running a 2-3 zone. Prince knocked down just over 36 percent of his 3-point attempts for Baylor and looks like another Robert Covington in the making. While Covington was a second round pick, he has now realized his potential as a “3 and D” player and if Prince can realize that potential as well, then the Pacers will be elated by getting him with No. 20.

Prince used all four years of his NCAA eligibility, so he’s coming into the league at the ripe age of 21-years old, however he improved each season in college, so he also has shown the propensity to work hard at his craft. By no means is a 21-year old a finished product, so with all the skills Prince already possesses he could be a solid rotational player for years to come.

To read more about Taurean Prince, <a href=.
