LAS VEGAS, NV – MARCH 10: Marquese Chriss /

67. Marquese Chriss is the darling of the lottery thus far with experts like DraftExpress placing him No. 3 to the Boston Celtics this past week. While Chriss is one of the youngest players in the draft at just 18-years old, he’s also one of the bigger risks in the draft due to his selection being based almost solely on upside.
Chriss’ rise has been nothing short of meteoric as the 6-9 forward was only a 4-star recruit coming out of high school to attend the University of Washington. He finished his freshman season with modest averages of 13.8 points and 5.4 rebounds, but his flashes of brilliance — mainly with highlight dunks and blocks — have NBA general managers salivating at the opportunity to draft him.

The Sacramento Kings have been in “stay stagnant and don’t improve” mode for quite some time and they don’t look to be title contenders anytime soon. A high risk, high reward selection like this is right up the #KANGZ alley under their current regime. If Chriss can develop into a budding stretch four and part-time small forward, then the gamble could pay off, however all of their current stars could be gone by time that comes to fruition.

To read more about Marquese Chriss, <a href=.
