Identifying the top high salary and value outfielder plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 9 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Gregory Polanco, Pirates (5,600): Polanco’s price is one of the highest we’ve seen for a position player, but that’s what happens when you get a dream matchup. Polanco and the Pirates travel to Colorado to face Rockies right-hander Chad Bettis (4-5, 5.58 ERA). Polanco is 1-for-3 against Bettis in his career and is hitting .323 against righties this season. This is widely projected to be Thursday’s highest-scoring game, and Polanco could be a key reason for that.

Mike Trout, Angels (5,500): Trout continues to dominate right-handed pitching this season — he’s hitting .323 against righties. On Thursday, he gets to face New York Yankees starter Ivan Nova, against whom he is 6-for-14 in his career. Trout had a monster game against New York Wednesday night (26 fantasy points), and could be in line for another one on Thursday.

High Value

Carlos Gomez, Astros (3,800): It’s been a rough season for Gomez, but things might finally be starting to turn around. His average is still below .200 (.186), but he’s homered in two of his last four games. He’s also hit safely in four of his last seven games, and he’s actually hitting .333 against lefties, so Thursday’s matchup with Texas Rangers southpaw Martin Perez (4-4, 3.24 ERA) is appealing.

Next: Remembering Muhammad Ali

Robbie Grossman, Twins (2,000): Grossman is going to cool off eventually, but with four hits (including two home runs) over his last three games, it doesn’t appear that’s happening just yet. He’s reached double digits in fantasy points in five of his last 12 games overall. That’s not bad for a player that’s priced at the minimum.
