Identifying the top high salary and value third baseman plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 9 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Jung-ho Kang, Pirates (5,300): Kang is in the midst of a nice hot streak, having hit safely in his last six starts. Over that span, he’s hit double digits in fantasy points three times. And now he gears up for a trip to hitter-friendly Coors Field. That’s a major reason for the bump in his price tag, but he could do some damage against Colorado Rockies righty Chad Bettis (4-5, 5.58 ERA).

Nolan Arenado, Rockies (5,300): There shouldn’t be any convincing needed here. Arenado is a stud, particularly at home in Colorado. He’s hitting 30 points higher at Coors Field than he is on the road this season. He’s also 6-for-14 with three extra-base hits in his career against Thursday starter Jeff Locke (5-3, 4.28 ERA). There’s a lot to like about Arenado.

High Value

Adrian Beltre, Rangers (4,000): Important note: Beltre left Wednesday’s game early with an apparent leg injury, so it’s possible he’ll miss Thursday’s game. Monitor his status before lineups lock. If he does play, he could continue his personal success against Houston Astros righty Collin McHugh (6-for-14).

Aaron Hill, Brewers (3,700): Hill isn’t exactly tearing the cover off of the ball, but he has hit safely in four of his seven games since the calendar flipped over to June. He’s also hitting nearly 40 points higher against right-handers than left-handers this season, so the matchup with New York Mets ageless wonder Bartolo Colon (4-3, 3.27 ERA) should benefit Hill.
