NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players.

Best Bets:
Gio Gonzalez ($8,900): Remember when Gio Gonzalez was with the Aās? The White Sox do, and they arenāt very fond memories. Gio held them to a .197 average over 76 at bats with just one home run and three runs scored while striking out 15. The home run was given up to Alex Avila, in his only at-bat against Gonzalez.
Jimmy Nelson ($8,700): Nelson has baffled the current Mets so far in his career. They are hitting just .154 off of him in 52 at bats with two homers, only four runs, and 13 strikeouts. Lucas Duda, who is currently on the DL, has half of the homers and RBI. Look for Nelson to at the very least pick up another quality start in this one. He has in eight of 11 tries so far this year.
Honorable Mention:
Jhoulys Chacin ($7,100): The Yankees bats woke up last night, but Chacinās numbers suggest that he may be able to silence them, at least somewhat. The Yankees are hitting just .170 against Chacin in 53 at bats with only two runs scored, no homers, and nine strikeouts. Chase Headley has racked up six of those strikeouts. If you are looking for a solid mid-range option, Chacin should provide it. He should also have a good chance at the win facing off against Ivan Nova.
Dark Horses:
Marcus Stroman ($5,700): What? Stroman a dark horse? Judging by price and performance and opponent, yes. Stroman has given up six or more runs in three of his last four starts. However, he has fared very well against the Orioles so far in his career. The current Baltimore team is only hitting .175 off of him in 57 at bats, but they have hit three homers and scored six runs. Still, the 12 strikeouts are nice, and he can limit the damage if no one is on base. Are you willing to take the risk?
Ivan Nova ($5,300): For all of his struggles in the major leagues, Nova actually has pretty good numbers against the Angels. The Halos are only hitting .229 against Nova in 96 at bats, but they do have three homers and 12 RBI to go with the 15 strikeouts. Nova is a high risk tonight, but the numbers suggest that he may be able to put up respectable numbers for the price.
Next: Who Are The Best Stacks?

You have heard our FanDuel experts Matt Rogers and Brian Tulloch talk about āstackingā pieces of a lineup against certain pitchers. Here are the stacks that could work well on DraftKings today, based on past statistics.
Jay Bruce ($3,600) and Brandon Phillips ($3,300) have actually hit Adam Wainwright well in their careers. Bruce is 12-39(.308) with five walks, two doubles, two homers, andĀ nine driven in against Wainwright. Phillips is 17-56(.304) withĀ four walks,Ā two doubles, a homer, and five driven in against Wainwright.
Rajai Davis ($3,100) is 2-4 with a double, a homer, and three RBI against Nathan Karns. Jason Kipnis ($3,600) is 4-9 with a walk, two doubles, and a RBI. Mike Napoli ($3,400) is a perfect 2-2 with a walk, a double, and a RBI.
Brandon Finneganās early numbers against the Cardinals are not very good. In onlyĀ 41 at bats, the Cards have homered five times. One each by Brandon Moss ($3,800). Stephen Piscotty ($4,800),Ā and Randal Grichuk ($3,500). The other two are from Matt Carpenter ($4,900) in only five at bats.
Christian Yelich ($4,400) is 6-15 with a walk, a triple, and a RBI against Ervin Santana. Ichiro Suzuki ($2,700) is 30-91(.330) with eight walks, seven doubles, two triples, two homers, and seven RBI off of Ervin. Derek Dietrich ($3,800) is 3-5 with a walk, a triple, and two RBI against Santana.
Next: More Notes For 6-8

Robinson Cano ($4,400) is 5-14(.357) with two doubles, a homer, and four RBI against Josh Tomlin. Kyle Seager ($4,200) is 5-9 with four doubles and a RBI off Tomlin.
Curtis Granderson ($4,100) is 2-5 with a walk, a double, and a solo homer against Jimmy Nelson. Neil Walker ($4,300) is 5-15 with a walk, a double, and a RBI.
Adam Jones ($4,100) is 3-6, but has no counting stats against Marcus Stroman. Matt Wieters ($3,300) is 2-5 with a walk, a homer, and two RBI against Stroman. Manny Machado and Ryan Flaherty have also taken Stroman deep, but they are a combined 2-13 against him.
Ryan Braun ($4,700) is 3-6 with a homer and three RBI against Bartolo Colon in his career. Jonathan Lucroy ($5,000) is 4-6, but they are all singles, and he has no counting stats.
The usual suspects are the ones that have hit Ivan Nova hard. Albert Pujols ($4,700) is 4-12 with a walk and two solo homers against Nova. Mike Trout ($5,500) is 6-14(.429) with two doubles and four RBI.
Danny Espinosa ($3,100) is 2-3 with a homer and three RBI against Miguel Gonzalez. Bryce Harper ($4,800) is 1-3 with a solo homer off of him.
