Stanley Cup Final: When is Penguins vs. Sharks Game 6?
By David Rouben
Game 6 details for the Stanley Cup Final between the San Jose Sharks and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Coming into Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, the San Jose Sharks had never held a lead – Joonas Donskoi’s overtime winner doesn’t count as holding a lead. But in this game, they not only scored the first goal, but they didn’t look back once they led after the first period.
A lot of that is because of Martin Jones, who stood on his head and carried his team to victory by making 44 saves. However, you’re not going to do that to the Pittsburgh Penguins every game, so if they want to win Game 6, Jones has to be solid again, but he also needs some help in front of him.
Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final will go down on Sunday, June 12. Just like every game in the series, the puck will drop at 8:00 pm Eastern on NBC. The Sharks did well to win this game, but now they have to do the same thing twice in a row, which is not an easy thing to do.
The Penguins were motivated to win Game 5 so they could hoist the Cup in front of their home fans for the first time ever. They didn’t get to do that, but they’re probably more than happy to win the Cup on the road this time.

The fans are both winners and losers of this game. They’re winners because they get to see more of this series, which is never a bad thing, but losers since it will be on during Game of Thrones, leaving some people with a tough decision to make.
