Stanley Cup Final: Sharks score two goals in three minutes (Video)

The San Jose Sharks are off to the best possible start facing elimination in the Stanley Cup Final.
Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final was potentially the first time in franchise history that the Pittsburgh Penguins could clinch the Cup at home. Given the circumstances, and the way the series has gone so far, not many people gave the San Jose Sharks a chance to win.
But it appears that they’ve thrown the form guide out of the window. The best way to quiet a raucous crowd was for the Sharks to score an early goal, and they scored two in the opening three minutes.

Currently, the three favorites for the Conn Smythe Trophy are, in no particular order, Sidney Crosby, Phil Kessel, and Matt Murray. While Murray should still be credited for getting the Penguins this far as a rookie, those are not good goals to give up, and it won’t do well to boost his Conn Smythe resume.

That was technically the first time the San Jose Sharks took the lead in the Stanley Cup Final, although it didn’t last long. The Penguins wound up tying it just two minutes later, as this game is off to an incredible start. There’s no telling which way it will go at the pace these teams are playing at, and we can’t wait to see how it’s going to play out.
