Identifying the top high salary and value shortstop plays from around Major League Baseball for your June 10 DraftKings lineup.

Our goal is to help you win DraftKings contests with consistently strong lineups. To accomplish that, we’ll be highlighting some higher salary players worth paying up for, and some value picks that will help you save salary in key areas. These picks are specifically for DraftKings lineups, so all references to prices and fantasy points are based on DK figures.

As always, be sure to double-check final MLB lineups and monitor weather situations before locking in your DFS lineups.

High Salary

Trevor Story, Rockies (5,200): Hey, look! Another Rockies player makes the cut for Friday night. Story has solid numbers in limited experience against San Diego Padres starter Andrew Cashner (3-for-6) and has hit 11 of his 16 home runs against righties this season. He’ll cost a pretty penny, and Rockies hitters are sure to be popular, but Story is a great play.

Xander Bogaerts, Red Sox (4,500): Bogaerts has been hit or miss over his last few games. He’s had 17 and 15 fantasy points in two of his last four games, but he’s also posted goose eggs in the other. Boston should be able to do some damage against Minnesota Twins starter Tyler Duffey (2-4, 4.79 ERA), and Bogaerts is a good bet to play a key role in that.

High Value

Corey Seager, Dodgers (4,000): Seager has been red-hit since the start of June, so don’t let the matchup with San Francisco Giants right-hander Johnny Cueto scare you off. Seager is 2-for-7 against Cueto, but he has two 30-plus fantasy-point outings over his last five starts. Seager’s an interesting play if you’re looking to save from the top shortstops.

Aledmys Diaz, Cardinals (3,500): Diaz has hit safely in four of his last five games as his strong rookie season continues. In limited head-to-head experience, Diaz is 1-for-3 against Pittsburgh Pirates starter Gerrit Cole. Cole is a big name, and could help keep Diaz’s ownership low. There’s an opportunity for solid value here.
